Behavioral Health
Behavioral health services at North Shore Community Health are a fundamental part of our integrated primary care model. NSCH provides integrated services for physical health, mental health, and substance use-related needs.
The Behavioral Health Department offers services to our patients at all of our health care sites for persons of all ages offering affordable, comprehensive, and accessible behavioral health care.
What We Do
Our behavioral health staff at North Shore Community Health are committed to working with our patients to help build life skills needed to successfully overcome a wide range of medical, physical, interpersonal, and socioeconomic challenges. The medical and behavioral health staff work as a team to improve the overall health and well-being of the patients we serve.
Our Behavioral Health Department consists of licensed social workers and a psychiatrist who are available to help our patients deal with a wide range of personal and medical related issues, as well as stressful life events. We help patients prioritize and work on goals, develop skills, strengthen coping strategies, and connect them with community resources. After several sessions, if our patients decide that they need more intensive ongoing therapy, we make referrals to other therapists in the community who can see them more often.
