Colon Cancer Presentation at Senior Center

Dr. Kathryn Hollett and Medical Assistant Gina Rennick gave a presentation on Colon Cancer at the Rose Baker Senior Center on Weds. February 17th.

There was a small crowd in the beginning and an aerobics was class going on in the next room but as Dr. Hollett started her presentation on why it’s important to get Colon Cancer Screening people started to come over and were interested in the information.

A small demonstration of the Hemosure Fit Testing was given. There were lots of questions about colon cancer screening which Dr. Hollett answered and handouts and booklets about colon cancer screening were provided to attendees.

The staff at the Rose Baker Senior Center enjoyed the discussion and  would like to have more presentations from the staff at GFHC.

Outreach at Liver Foundation Presentation in Gloucester

Hepatitis C presentation participantsNicole Jerome and Gina Rennick did Outreach at the Rose Baker Senior Center during the Presentation by Lindsay Ventura from the American Liver Foundation about Liver Disease and Hepatitis C on June 8, 2016.

Although the turnout for the talk was quite small, it was an opportunity to network with Healthy Streets, Project Cope and the American Liver Foundation.

We received some terrific compliments from the Healthy Streets staff about the great work our providers in Gloucester do as far as screening labs for our patients who are diagnosed with Hepatitis C and our referrals to Dr. Wolf.

We all shared information and booklets and listened to a very impressive presentation about liver disease from Ms. Ventura.
