Ellen Reece is a Family Nurse Practitioner who serves as the Director of Nursing and provides urgent care to patients across all NSCH primary care locations. She also holds the licensure necessary to prescribe buprenorphine as part of the addiction treatment services available at NSCH.

Ellen believes that health care is a human right and enjoys working to improve access to health care for all residents of the North Shore and Cape Ann communities.

Ellen has participated in multiple leadership and management training programs such as the Kraft Center for Community Health Practitioner Program and the Institute for Nonprofit Practice Management Program.

She enjoys working on projects to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of care at NSCH and has been trained in the Lean model for quality improvement.

Ellen holds a BA in French Studies from Colby College and an MS in Family and Community Health Nursing from Boston College School of Nursing.
