Anna Berrian, NPProgram Manager of the PVMHS Student Health Center and Nurse Practitioner

    Anna Berrian is an NP who works with students at the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Student Health Center.

    Anna feels it is important to provide healthcare to teens where they are and believes that healthy kids will be more successful in school.  She has worked in school-based health for almost 14 years. She spent 11 years working at the MGH Revere School-Based Health Center, which she also managed for a few years.  She received a Partners in Excellence Award from MGH for her work in the SBHC. Anna has enjoyed working with teens and forming meaningful relationships with them, which is her favorite part of the job.  Anna has also worked as a pediatric ICU nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC and in the cardiac ICU at Boston Children’s Hospital for several years. She later worked as a pulmonary research coordinator at Children’s, working on studies for cystic fibrosis patients.

    Anna is the treasurer of the MA School-Based Health Alliance, which is an organization whose mission is to advocate for SBHC’s in Massachusetts. Anna has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Simmons University.  She is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
