North Shore Community Health, Inc., with locations in Salem and Peabody with a soon to be open site in Gloucester, provides care for you and your family at all stages, from before birth and throughout childhood to adults and elders. As a community health center, we provide both health and dental care and offer more services than typical medical offices. We offer translation services, financial counseling and health education. We are governed by a Board of Directors that includes patients like you, which gives us a link to the community and helps us provide all the services you need.

Key members of the management team are as follows:

Robert Q. Hendershott, Ed.D. Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Hendershott has 30 years of experience in Community Health, with 18 years as CEO of a Community/Migrant Health Center. For the past 15 years, Dr. Hendershott, a nationally known consultant, has provided health care consulting and management services to CHCs. During this time he had engagements with many individual C/MCHCs, large hospital systems, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), Public Health Service-Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC), American Express Healthcare Service Group, and State Governments. Dr. Hendershott holds a Doctoral degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan in Agency Administration.

Gloria Riley, Chief Operations Officer
Her prior duties include management of various capital projects and operation of the agency’s satellite centers. Ms. Riley served as Fiscal Director and Interim Director from June 1997-December 1998. In 1999 she received an award of recognition from NSCH, Inc. in honor of her dedication and service to the Center and its users. Ms. Riley has spent her entire life in the North Shore area attending Endicott College in Beverly, MA and Beverly High School.

John Hildreth, Controller

  Jennifer Femino, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Serves as Associate Medical Director.  Ms. Femino received her BA from Boston College and her Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions.  Prior to joining the team of professionals at North Shore Community Health, Inc. Ms. Femino practiced as an FNP in Washington DC, worked as a Registered Nurse at the Latin American Youth Center in Washington DC, conducted housing search for homeless individuals in Cambridge, MA, served as a woman’s advocate for victims of domestic violence in OR and MA, attended the Universal Center for Language and Social Communication in Mexico and was a volunteer teacher and coach in Dangriga, Belize.

Christine Malagrida, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Serves as Associate Medical Director.  Ms. Malagrida received her BA from Saint Michael’s College, Colchester, VT and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Columbia University School of Nursing, NY, NY. Prior to joining the team of professionals at North Shore Community Health, Inc. Ms. Malagrida practiced as an FNP at the Federal Medical Center at Devens, Ayer, MA and as a Registered Nurse at North Shore Medical Center, Salem MA and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY.  Ms. Malagrida was also a NCLEX Instructor at Kaplan Manhattan International Center, NY, NY and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Columbia University School of Nursing, NY, NY.  She was the recipient of the New York Schweitzer Fellows Program 2000 and Columbia University and Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Scholar for 2002-03 Academic Year. 

Gabrielle DeMille, D.M.D., Dental Director

Dr. DeMille has over 11 years of experience as a General Dentist. Dr. DeMille recieved her BA from Regis College in Weston Ma and her Doctor of Dental medicine from Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston, Ma. As Dental Director of North Shore Community Health, Inc., Dr. DeMille is a receptor fot the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine Community Service Learning Externship program. Prior to accepting the role of Dental Director of North Shore Community Health, Inc., Dr. Demille was Associate Professor and Clinical Instructor for Oral Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL and in private practice until 2006.
